Essay

The state of working of the problem is determined in the dissertation; pedagogues' contribution of the studied period into the school nature education is generalized. The criteria are determined on the basis of which the stages of school nature education development are grounded: 1852-1861 - restoration of teaching natural science in educational institutions; 1861-1871 - of methodical and social development of nature study subjects; 1871-1907 - slowdown of the development due to the state policy; 1907-1917 - actualization of meaning of natural science, improvement of methods and nationalization of educational process. The factors that influenced the improvement of educational process are analyzed; the evolution of content, methods, forms and means of nature study subjects teaching are investigated.
