Maslak Y. Alimentary osteodystrophy in goats: pathogenesis, diagnostics and treatment

Research object - osteodystrophya of ruminants. Purpose of search - determination of non well-known regions of pathogenesis of alimentary osteodystrophy in goats, informatical substatiation of biochemical indices of mineral metabolism and connective tissue state with complex diagnostics and estimation of therapeutic measures efficiency is the aim of this research work. Methods of search: clinical; rentgenologic; biochemical (determination of calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, activity of alkaline and acid phosphatasaes, bone izoenzim of alkaline phosphatasae, glycoprptein, chondroitinsulphates, fractions of glycosaminoglycans, total protein and its fractions, creatinin,ceruloplasmin,haptoglobin, activity of alanine and aspartataminotransphaerasaes, gammaglutamiltranspeptidasae in the blood serum; calcium, phosphorus, oxyproline, uronic acid, creatinin, activity of gammaglutamiltranspeptidasae in the urine; statistics methods. Scientific novelety: determination of non well-known regions of pathogenesis of alimentary osteodystrophy in goats. Have been determined levels of indices of connective tissue in the blood serum (glycoproteins, total chondroitinsulpates, glycosaminoglycans and its fractions), in the urea (oxyproline, uronic acid) in clinical healthy goats (according of physiological stage). Developed and approved informing diagnostic complex of biochemical indices of blood serum and urine of goats, characterizing the biopolymers state of connective tissue (declarative patents of Ukraine for useful model "Method of biochemical diagnostics of osteodystrophy in goats" №50153). It has been proved the efficiency of complex vitamin-mineral medicine Calphostonic for treatment of goats who are ill with osteodystrophy.Introdused: research results are used in scientific research Kharkiv State Veterinary Akademy,Bilotserkivsky and Luganskiy National Agrarian University. Developed and put into practice guidelines: "Osteodystrophya goats: complex treatment of basic forms and prevention" approved by the Scientific-methodical concil Board of Veterinary Medicine of Ukrane.
