In the Dissertation historical, ethnic-national, social-economic and political preconditions oh formation of extraschool education in Volyn-Zhytomyr region were determined on the basis of analysis of archival sources, historical and pedagogical literature. It was substantiated general tendencies and stages of the development of extraschool education in the region; defineded the role of government, the general public and private persons in forming of regional net of extraschool institutions in the region in the fixed period; defineded ethnic-national features of extraschool education in Volyn Region; revealed specificity of organizing of extraschool educational institutions and content their educational activity.
