The dissertation thesis is devoted to the issue of women's nonformal education in the USA. It covers the main scientific approaches to the definition of nonformal education, its peculiarities, organizational forms and methods. The author analyses social and historical preconditions of women's nonformal education in the USA, defines the main tendencies and substantiates four historical periods of the American nonformal education for women (the second part of the 20th - the beginning of the 21st century).
