Object - the future specialists' training of higher technical educational establishments. Purpose - to ground theoretically and approve an experimental model of professional self-awareness formation of the future specialists of higher technical educational establishments. Methods - theoretical, empirical, mathematical and statistical. Theoretical results and novelty - pedagogical conditions of professional self-awareness formation of the future specialists of higher technical educational establishments have been defined and scientifically grounded (actualization of the set in the future engineer's professional activity in the context of professional self-awareness formation; using the interactive methods of teaching in the pedagogical process of higher educational technical establishments; self-monitoring for self-perfection of future specialists' professionally-significant qualifications); the phenomenon's "professional self-awareness formation of the future specialists of higher technical educational establishments" essence and structure have been disclosed; criteria, indices and qualitative characteristics of the levels of professional self-awareness formation of future specialists have been defined. The experimental model of professional self-awareness formation of the future specialists of higher technical educational establishments has been worked out, scientifically grounded and approved. Practical results - the methodic pattern of diagnostics professional self-awareness formation of the future specialists of higher technical educational establishments has been worked out as well as special course "Basic foundation of professional self-awareness formation of future engineers." Efficiency of introduction is high. Branch - pedagogical, higher technical educational establishments.
