Essay

Features, character and activity directions of regional ethnography centers on the territory of Kyivshchyna are ascertained in the dissertation. There have been analyzed the regional ethnography work of committees, sections, museums, libraries, educational establishments, archival institutions, individual scientists, non-governmental organizations in specific historical conditions within the period which is under investigation. There has been shown the whole process of development and decline of historic regional ethnography in the 20s-30s of the XX century. There has been cleared up the level of influence of government policy onto the character of regional ethnography researches.
