Khaletcka L. The rural population of Ukraine in the years of the Khrushchev Thaw: level and quality of life.

The dissertation is dedicated to the complex and comprehensive research of the level and quality of life of the rural population of Ukraine in the years of the Khrushchev Thaw. Using a wide resource and different methodological approaches demographic, social-economic and social-cultural living standards were analyzed. It was traced the dynamics of quantitative and qualitative changes among the rural population in the Khrushchev's period. The gross incomes and spending of rural family, its purchasing possibility were investigated. The rural social-housings terms and exposed the social amenities' failings were shown. It was found the specificity of social protection of the rural population. In the dissertation was reproduced the level of the rural population's cultural- educational necessities. Preconditions and displays of social deviations in the rural environment were analyzed.
