Bychuk I. Evolution of the Ukrainian national idea in the social and philosophical thought of Ukraine at the turn of the XIX - XX centuries

Dissertation is devoted to systematic philosophical evolution and peculiarities of the Ukrainian national idea in the social and philosophical thought of Ukraine at the turn of the XIX - XX centuries. A comprehensive analysis of factors that determined development of social consciousness of Ukraine in the designated period accomplished. Summarized and built hierarchy of factors that determined the formation of representations of the Ukrainian national idea. A comparative analysis of ideological and theoretical heritage of founders of the Ukrainian national revival that theoretically justified the national idea and favored for its socio-political and scientific activities of the establishment of Ukrainian national consciousness conducted. The functional and instrumental, axiological and teleological priorities under optimal correlative notions of the national idea as an objective status quo of social reality and the prospects for its evolution were determined. The thesis according to which the key conceptuality criterion of correct guidance of the national idea is a symbiosis of theoretical and practical interpretation and convincing performance was justified.
