Based on a review of American and British publications, state departments' and educational and research establishments' analytical documents that have created a basis of the Anglo-American historiography of the Gulf War 1990-1991, the dissertation offers a complex analysis of the historiography, examines its tendencies and particularities, the inclusiveness and credibility of the study results, and the differences among the approaches of American and British authors to the interpretation of historical facts, exposes under-researched issues that require additional studying and outlines perspective directions for further research.
