Sakalo O. The Typology and Structure of the Households of the Rural Population in Hetmanschyna of the Second Half of the 18th Century: On the Example of the Lubny Regiment.

The dissertation based on the wide circle of sources deals with the first attempt in the Ukrainian historical science to present a complex historical and demographic research of the households of the rural population in Hetmanschyna of the second half of the 18th century. The density of population, the generation staff, and the structures of the households of three big social groups of early modern Ukrainian society (the rural clergy, cossacks, and peasants) have been analysed. The typology of the researched families has been figured out with the help of P. Laslett's classification of the family households that is the most popular classification in the modern historical demography. On the example of two typical Ukrainian households the evolution of their family structure during the researched period has been studied.
