Poplavskaya I. The territorial organization of hotel maintenance in Ukraine

In present research the theoretical and methodological fundamentals of social and geographical investigation of hotel maintenance, which are based on the specificity of hotel service and the peculiarities of its functioning in the tourism industry structure, and on modern tendencies of hotel business functioning in the world, and which due to their globalising character find specific realization in the formation of hospitality service market in Ukraine, have been examined. The factors that influence the territorial organization of hotel maintenance have been analysed. The methodology of social and geographical investigation of hotel maintenance based on the combination of methods of systemic and procedural approaches in connection with the methods of statistics and cartographical modelling has been elaborated. Due to the proposed methodology the stages of the transformation of hotel maintenance during the times of the state independence of Ukraine have been singled out; component, territorial, organizational and management structures of hotel maintenance have been analysed; regional peculiarities of hotel maintenance development during each of the singled out formation periods - historical, transformational and modern, - have been determined, what is reflected in compiled map-schemes.
