OObject - the process of pre-university training of school-leavers; the aim - to find out the influence of theoretically substantiated and experimentally checked pedagogical conditions on the conscious professional choice and improvement of school-leavers' level of knowledge and skills formation in the process of professionally-oriented pre-university training; methods - theoretical, empirical, statistical; novelty - the dissertation has been the first one to work out, theoretically substantiate and experimentally check pedagogical conditions of professionally-oriented educational activity at the preparatory departments in the process of professionally-oriented pre-university training of school-leavers; the meaning of the notion "professional self-choice of school-leavers" as a process of forming a school-leaver's attitude to himself as a subject of his future professional activity under the influence of his personal peculiarities and environment factors has been specified; results - the pedagogical conditions of professionally-oriented educational activity in the process of professionally-oriented pre-university training of school-leavers at the preparatory departments have been implemented and proved their efficiency. Theoretical ideas and practical experience of the research can be adapted to educational activity of the preparatory departments of institutions of higher learning and in-service training; field - pedagogy
