Zhmaka V. The social-economic development of the Left-bank Ukraine cities in 1920s

The object of the research: the occupied items of the Left-bank Ukraine, which during the 20s of XX century had the officially recognized status of city. The dissertation purpose is the analysis of socio-economic and demographic development of the Left-bank Ukraine cities in 20s of XX century, their role and meaning in this region of Ukraine. Methods: analytical, synthetic, logic; typological, synchronous, problem-chronological, comparative-historical, structural-system, statistical (mathematical). Scientific novelty of the dissertation: the dissertation is complex research of socio-economic development of the Left-bank Ukraine cities in 1920s; on the basis of a wide circle of sources the basic tendencies and features of development of the Left-bank Ukraine cities of the period of nep are generalized. Practical value: the materials of the dissertation can be used at a spelling of generalizing works on a history of Ukraine, history of the Left-bank Ukraine cities, their population, socio-economic processes of the period of nep; by preparation of courses and special courses in high schools; the programs on a social and economic history of Ukraine, urbanization, study of region history, study of local lore.
