Kurganskyi A. Development of special clothing for protection against high levels of ionizing radiation

The work is devoted to development of the radiation protective clothing for protection against high levels of ionizing radiation with zonal-differentiation protection of the human body. The classification of personal protection equipment of Nuclear Power Plants personnel protection and radiation-protective materials were generalized. The list of quality clothing indexes was specified and made its evaluation. The use of means for reducing the influence of weight of special clothing on the worker's body was clarified. There was developed the experimental installation for determining the efficiency of means for reducing the influence of weight of special clothing on the worker's body. There was developed the physical and mathematical models of the influence of weight of radiation protective clothing for protection against high levels of ionizing radiation with zonal-differentiation protection of the human body and experimentally tested mathematical model for determining the efficiency of means for reducing the influence of weight of special clothing on the worker's body. The varieties of special clothing for protection against high levels of ionizing radiation were suggested and it was applied for production.
