The dissertation investigates the deep changes in the economy of Ukraine due to privatization process. The comprehensive analysis of numerous historical sources, historiography and achievements of other scientific areas attempt to cover all the complex socio-political and socio-economic changes. Solved institutional features of initial conditions for privatization. In some departments and analyzes changes in the industry, the agricultural means of production and material foundations of social and communal services, which leaked at the turn of 1980 - 1990's. Grounded activity of state bodies in the privatization processes associated with change of ownership, defined regulatory efficiency legislation.
