Kasianenko D. Peculiarities of the Translation and Lexical Harmonization of the EU legislative acts in the context of EU integration of Ukraine

The thesis is focused on translation aspects of the legislative acts of primary and secondary EU Law. The genre and lexico-semantic of German and English EU legislative acts in the context of translation into Ukrainian were identified. The legal translation as a specialist category of translation, the ways of its classifications, methods and peculiarities of acquis communautaire translation into different target languages were analyzed. The thesis clarifies typology of EU legal texts, the sense of EU legislative acts, their genre and composition structural specific as well as the sense of the adequacy and the equivalence for the EU legislative acts translation into different target languages by communicative and functional approach. It also defines the legal language, legal term, legal eurolekt, lexical Harmonization. Main features of the legal eurolekt and its terminological system as well as the place of legal eurolekt in the system of languages for special purposes were examined; the techniques of translation and the problems of the terminological equivalents for the legal text translation and lexical Harmonization of EU Law terms were identified.
