Essay

A strategy for the genetic improvement of winter wheat varieties by means of the induced micromutations for some quantitative indicators (namely, productivity, resistance to environmental conditions, quality of grains with the conservation of the typicality and the genetic constancy of the wheat and others) is developed. It is established that, to induce useful micromutations, moderate and small doses of physical and chemical mutagenic factors are the most effective. The dose and concentration of mutagens, closing to the critical values of one, show high activity in inducing a wide range of original macromutations.
