Essay

The object is the process of the general pedagogical training of the future teachers of philological subjects; the subject: the pedagogical conditions of the formation of the professional competence of future teachers of philological subjects in the process of the general pedagogical training; the aim: the theoretical grounding of the essential characteristics of the professional competence of future teachers of philological subjects, defining and experimental testing of the pedagogical conditions, which ensure the effectiveness of general pedagogical training in the formation of this complex personal unit; methods: theoretical (the studying of the scientific pedagogical, psychological, philosophy literature, sources on theory and methodology of higher school), method of theoretical analysis and synthesis, method of making models, empirical (pedagogical observation, interview, questionnaire, testing, discussion, method of self-estimation and expert estimation, establishing and forming experiment), mathematical statistical methods; novelty: it is for the first time made the integral analysis of scientific-theoretical basis of the general pedagogical training and its potential in the formation of the professional competence of future teachers, it is defined and given concrete expression of the content, structure, components, indices, criteria and levels of professional competence, it is defined and grounded the pedagogical conditions providing the effectiveness of the general pedagogical training in the formation of the professional competence, it is developed the conceptual basis of competence-based approach towards the formation of this complex personal unit, it is theoretically grounded and experimentally tested the model of the general pedagogical training on the formation of the professional competence of future teachers of philological subjects.
