Essay

The dissertation is a comprehensive literary study of Michal Tchaikovsky works in the context of the "Ukrainian school" in Polish Romanticism. The investigation studies the historosophical and sociocultural prerequisites of this author historical works appearence. The main three sources of M. Tchaikovsky literary creation: kozakofilstvo, slavophilism and adventurous biography are analyzed. The genre and compositional features of historical prose, a narrative conception of the author and the role of additional elements in creation of romantic prose formula in Ukrainian Romanticism by M. Tchaikovsky are defined.
