The thesis focuses on the analysis of the Ukrainian pedagogues' literary heritage (the second part of the XIX-XX centuries) in the context of the problem of primary school children's creative abilities development. The factors which influenced the process of primary school children's creative abilities development, its social, national and individual prerequisites which were projected on the process of evolution of the Ukrainian society educational and outlook priorities in the second part of the XIX - XX centuries have been described. The peculiarities of the Ukrainian pedagogues' literary heritage (Olena Pchilka, S. Rusova, B. Hrinchenko, M. Kotsubynsky, Lesya Ukrainka, K. Malytska, Mariika Pidhiryanka, I. Blazhkevych) which influenced the process of primary school children's creative abilities development have been analysed.
