In the dissertation the pedagogical foundations of the physical training and sport work with the pupils of the secondary schools in the Western Ukraine of the inter-war period are revealed, physical training and sport work with the pupils of Bukovina, Galicia and Transcarpathia is defined as a specially organized pedagogical process of the pupils' physical education, which included games, dances and entertainment, gymnastics, tourism and sport during lessons and beyond them, in after-school activities aimed at their harmonious development and strengthening of health.
