The dissertation, based on a considerable corpus of historiographic research of pre-revolution, Soviet, and modern periods, archive and published sources (legislative and regulatory documents, research works by law scientists, memoirs, diaries, analyzes one of the important societal development periods, namely, the 60s-80s of the nineteenth century (the period of reforms following the abolition of serfdom in 1861), the democratization of sociopolitical life, and, thus, of law education.
