This dissertation it discovers the role of pedagogical periodical press in pedagogical education of parents within investigated period. Іnvestigated the development of pedagogical education of parents within 50 - 80 years of XXth century, dissertation discovers its place in pedagogical theory and practice. This dissertation determines the essence of pedagogical education of parents, its purposes and tasks, aimed for spreading of knowledge about upbringing of children in family. Experience of famous native and foreign educators of this problem of the researched period is considered and set forth. Peculiarities of organization forms of pedagogical education in native pedagogical press within investigated period are discovered and grounded; directions and specificity of pedagogical education of parents is analyzed. The most prospective ways of application of historic - pedagogical investigation in further development of pedagogical education of parents in modern pedagogical process are designated.
