Essay

The thesis presents a new theoretical foundation and solution of problem on understanding and consideration of individual variability of morphometric and biomechanical properties of dura mater of the brain and its derivatives, depending on age, sex and the individual structure of the human head. The pa-rameters of area, length, width and thickness of convexital and basal parts, processes and sinuses of dura mater of human brain and their relation to age, sex and individual structure of head were established. Such biomechanical parameters of the various departments of dura mater of the brain as elongation and tensile strength were established. Craniotopographic schemes of dura mater of human brain, which are a graphical display of received and systematized morphometric and biomechanical data, were developed. On these schemes the optimal regions for creation of dural grafts are marked. The exact practical recom-mendations for creation of adapted dural autoplasts and homografts are proposed.
