Kovtun Y. Social and Cultural Essence of the Ukrainian Traditionalism of XIX - XX centuries

The thesis is a complex social and philosophical research of the social and cultural essence of the Ukrainian reflexive traditionalism of XIX - XX centuries. The work highlights speculations upon peculiarities of the tradition in Western European and Russian traditionalism of XIX - XX centuries as the typically closest to the Ukrainian one. It is proved that development of Ukrainian reflexive traditionalism as the world view reflexion of the theoretical comprehension of the phenomenon of tradition takes place alongside with the formation of philosophy of the Ukrainian national idea; it id connected with activities of P. Kulish, M. Mikhnovsky, V. Lypynsky, Y. Lypa. I. Lyssyak-Rudnytsky. The value of the philosophers- traditionalists' works in the context of preservation of the Ukrainian social and cultural identity within the process of globalization is proved.
