Object of study – professional pedagogical training of primary school teachers on the basis of task approach. The objective of the study is the development and theoretical substantiation of the system of pedagogical tasks as the means of professional skills formation of future primary school teachers and its experimental checking. Methods: Theoretical - study and analysis of philosophical, psychological, educational, methodological literature, normative documents on the specialization "Primary education", a content analysis, comparison, generalization, classification, classification, modeling, empirical - diagnostic methods (questionnaires, tests, teacher observation, self-reflection); pedagogical experiment, analysis of experimental data; statistical - methods of mathematical statistics. Scientific novelty of the results of the study is that at first the system of pedagogical tasks has been substantiated; the system takes into account that the professional skills of primary school teachers are a system of analytical-diagnostic, projective-constuctive, organizational-communicational, and evaluative-reflective competencies, that provide the implementation of multifunctional activity at elementary school; the model of the formation of the professional skills of students on the specialization "Primary education" with the use of educational tasks has been developed; on its base the organizational and pedagogical conditions of this process (the orientation of the educational process to the personality of the future teacher, his professional skills system, the implementation of pedagogical reflection, consistency of didactic-methodical training with the requirements of competence-based approach to learning, the acquiring of students the tasks approach as for the the use of innovative technologies of primary education) that enhance the professional competence of future teachers have been determined; improved: the essence of the meaning of the notions: “professional skills of primary school teachers”, “system of pedagogical tasks”, “professional competence of primary school teachers”, the component structure of formation of future primary school teachers’ professional skills (motivational - axiological, cognitive, operating), stages of their formation (motivational - cognitive, acting, creative - reflective), the criteria (motivational - axiological, cognitive, operational-technological) and levels (beginner, intermediate, adequate, high), further development of the ideas of the implementing of task approach to training of future elementary school teachers and substantive content of its scientific and methodological resource. Results: Results of dissertation research can be used in the educational process of higher education establishment in the process of professional training.
