Essay

The object of the study is the process of preparation in higher education specialists in economics. The subject of the study are of IT and communication competence in the training of students. The purpose of the study is the theoretical basis and experimental verification of the effectiveness of methods of preparing economics students to use information and communication technologies in their professional activities. We propose a list of the knowledge, skills and abilities which formation is necessary for recognition of the students of information and communication competencies. Identified criteria and indicators of the level of formation of information and communication competence of future economists. Theoretically proved and experimentally verified model of training future economists to the use of information and communication technologies in their professional activities. Developed by the content of teaching economic computer based thematic content of the special disciplines. Implemented a number of special teaching methods designed to enhance students' self-employment, their intuition, the ability to make decisions: interactive methods, methods, using professional objectives, methods, using distance learning technologies. Information and educational environment within which is conducted distance education of future economists. The experiment proved that the positive changes in the formation of the required level of information and communication competencies, due to the use of the developed model of student training in economics to use information and communications technology in their professional activities.
