Object: professional training of future engineering teachers in higher education; goal: theoretical study and experimental verification of educational conditions that improve the efficiency of the formation of pedagogical competence of students of engineering and teaching professions during their vocational training in higher education; methods: analysis of scientific literature, modeling, questioning, testing, expert evaluation, educational experiment, methods of mathe-matical statistics; novelty: defined pedagogical conditions for the formation of pedagogical competence of future engineering teachers in the preparation in high school, developed based involve the formation of motivation, improve of teaching (manufacturing) practices, the use of projects practice; results: designed the project program of courses „Fundamentals of engineering educational activities (Introduction to the profession),”an integrated program of teaching (manufacturing) practices, subject teaching and creative projects; branch – theory and methods of professional education
