Oreshkina M. The influence of ideological factor and the command-administrative methods of management at the libraries activity in the USSR in 40-80- years of XX century

Based on analysis of documents and materials in the thesis investigates the history of libraries in the Ukrainian SSR and influence of the ideological factor. Determined that the control scheme under review at the library of that period had 2 levels: horizontal and vertical. The factors that contributed to improving the quality of library services in the Republic were searched. Noted that the creation of automated bibliographic search in the libraries of Ukraine served to increase the efficiency of their work but also required to raise the education level of library staff. As a result of innovations in librarianship expansion of library stocks and improve services constantly growing number of readers. Found that in order to increase the role of public libraries to conduct ideological and educational work with the readers of leading parties in the field of librarianship held centralization and coordination of services.
