Korchagina O. Press of Voroshilovgrad region in 1938-1956: historical, typological, structural and functional aspects.

This dissertation is dedicated to the complex research of the main tendencies' peculiarities in Voroshilovgrad presses' establishment, development and functioning during 1938-1956 years. Detailed historical and typological characteristic of regional periodicals is accomplished, the catalogue of the newspapers dated by the mentioned period is finished off and arranged, the problematical and topical content and related change of press functions' paradigm working during different periods are analyzed. Ways and methods of ideological influence are determined and it is also defined the pragmatics of journalistic propaganda with the means of press in the era of totalitarianism.
