Romanenko I. Ukrainian problem during the work of the archeological congresses (1869 - 1911)

Special attention has been paid to the historiography of the problem. The author has gathered the information about the works which cover the history and analyze the activity of both the archeological congresses and the most active their participants. The concrete periods of the problem's working out is characterized in the context of the historical situation.A special chapter of the thesis is dedicated to the conditions and factors which have led to those congresses organization. The question about their structure and financing of their activity is lighted out as well. The review on history and activity on the Ukrainian national revival is given on each archeological congress. The most active Ukrainian congress participants have been named, and their achievements on the point of view of their value for the national historic science and political movement.
