The thesis is a research of cultural revival in Ukraine during the period of national revolution in the context of social activity of Ukrainian creative intelligentsia. It deals with the place and role of social initiative at the formation of newest theatre, art, music, literature, museums, historical and art monuments protection. Preconditions of national cultural renaissance and sources of social cultural and educational movement are analyzed. Connection of cultural undertaking with revolutionary processes in Ukrainian society is described. Features of development of national culture and activity of public creative and educational organizations on every stage of Ukrainian revolution, cooperation between the associations of creative intelligentsia and public institutions in matters of development of national culture are analyzed.
