Object of research: innovative activities of the teaching staff in the higher education institutions. The aim is a theoretical rationale, design and experimental verification of the model of post graduate students' preparation to innovative activities in a higher educational institution. Methods: theoretical empirical, statistics. Novelty: the model of post graduate students' preparation to innovative activities in a higher educational institution was theoretically grounded and developed in the first time, the pedagogical conditions (enrichment curriculum graduate teaching neology theoretical issues and innovative management of higher education, ensuring the priority of active and interactive methods of organizing scientific and educational space graduate which stimulate the interest of graduate students to self-knowledge and professional upbringing of the own personality as the subjects of innovation, the creation within the scientific and pedagogical the practice of management of the creative cooperation with scientific and pedagogical staff of subject departments to identify, design, development and implementation of educational innovations, the public presentation of its results in the form of innovative pedagogical project) which ensure the effectiveness of this process were identified, the nature and structure of innovative activity were concretized, the concepts of "innovation", "innovation", "innovation", "educational innovation", "innovation" were advanced, the criteria and performance were specified, the levels of postgraduate training for innovation in higher education were characterized; the theory of post-graduate education of scientific and pedagogical personnel through graduate school, namely in the aspect of their professional-pedagogical preparation for innovative activities in a higher educational establishment has got further development. Results: The research materials can be used in the preparation of scientific and pedagogical staff through postgraduate study, the organization of research work of graduate students and teaching staff of higher educational institutions of III-IV accreditation levels, sphere - the theory and methodology of professional education.
