Essay

The object of research: the professional and pedagogical training of external students of the philological faculty in the pedagogical universities. The aim is a scientific justification, theoretical development and experimental verification of the organizational and pedagogical conditions of the independent work of the philological faculty external students in the pedagogical universities. Methods: theoretical, pilot testing, methods of processing the results of the study. Novelty: organizational and pedagogical conditions of independent work of the philological faculty external students in university (providing the personal direction of students' independent work by detecting the levels of readiness to work independently, building a system of independent work on the basis of individualization of learning students based on their previous training and experience in school, the development of skills improve individual work external students through the use of tiered assignments nature (reproductive, orientation, creative, forward-looking)) were the first scientifically proven; the criteria and levels of an organization independent of the cognitive activity of students, which take into account qualitative features of the independent work of this category and developed the appropriate diagnostic tools, created by the structural-functional model of organization of pedagogical universities' philological faculty students' in universities were defined, the development of a periodization distance teacher education in Ukraine (end of 90s of XIX century - until today) was prompted, the concept of "self-study distance learning students" was advanced, the theoretical basis of independent work of students of philological faculty in university correspondence courses were further developed. Results: The results of a the research implemented in the educational process of pedagogical universities; the special course "Individual work part-time students as the basis of their personal and professional self-development", a package of tests and guidelines for their use to diagnose levels of preparedness of students to work independently was developed and implemented, counseling center to ensure systematic self-study students tested guidelines for teachers to improve students' readiness to work independently was introduced; sphere - the theory and methodology of professional education.
