Conceptual approach to the problem above lies in specifying modus of the utterance, the essence of modality and peculiarities of using modal modus categories. Special attention is devoted to the role of authorizative and evaluating modus categories in modern publicistic texts by means of statistic analysis of lexico-grammatical means to express qualificative modus categories.
