The dissertation is devoted to the problem of compassion as a measure of humanity in conditions of contemporary transitive society. Consider the problem of definition the notion "compassion", cultural and historical context then scientists' attention was turned to the problem of compassion. Reveal peculiarities of compassion as a measure of identification of humanity. In conditions of transitive society turn out the reasons for dehumanization of social life, marginalization, lost of identification, which leads to frustration of value-normative system as a common basis of social integration.
