There is complex research of the ideas and journalism mastery of the M. Shapovals's publicism is carried out of publications "Ukrainska Hata" (Kiev, 1909-1914) and "Novaya Ukraina" (Prague, 1922-1928) The work examined what place of the social communications does the publicism study occupies. Besides the particularity of the publicism appearance, there was defined writers publicism, as the "sub-form" of the publicism creation. Firstly the M. Shapoval's creation was examined through two parts of the publicist's life: cooperation period with the "Ukrainska hata" (before emigration) and the period of the Prague lifetime. First period was explored through the author's reflection. The major idea was the modernist model of creativity, that was promoted in the journalist's publications. This idea consisted of three principles of creativity: individualism, nietzscheanism, nationality. Every element was comprehended by the author as the art creative technique and the way of socio-political life.
