The thesis is devoted to the development of the science-based principles of the human and geographic study of the territorial organization of the recreation and tourist activity. It was justified the socio-geographical nature of the recreation and tourist activity, it was expanded on the gist and the key factors of its territorial organization. It was developed methodical approaches of the socio-geographical study of the territorial organization of the recreation and tourist activity.There were considered the regional particularities of the recreation and tourist activity in the Capital human and geographic region, its structure and dynamics.
