Essay

The dissertation examines the general work of Soviet rule, aimed at the armed elimination of OUN underground and URA organizations in the Lviv region in 1943 - late 1950's. The strategy and tactics of the fight against rebels was under research, involving the red partisans, the parts of regular army, special services and their military and paramilitary formations, created by the members of the local population.It was concluded that this armed struggle was crucial in dealing with nationalist underground in the region.
