Dissertation is dedicated to the complex social philosophical analysis of a modern scientific picture of the world, its perception and understanding in the modern globalization and informational revolution conditions. In the paper there were specified the contents and sense of the main and basic notion "scientific picture of the world" within philosophy and science. The peculiarities and principles of scientific picture of the world formation since the creation and till modern times were researched in the paper. The process of philosophy of a science formation and the main stages of its development was analyzed. Moreover, the role of philosophy in the description of the world outlook sense of a modern picture of the world was learnt.
