Essay

The thesis is an extensive research of social and political activity of the Poles in Ukrainian provinces of the Russian Empire in March 1917 - April 1918. Before and during World War I their number was growing rapidly and reached about 1 million people. Social, religious and national solidarity of the Poles in the Nad-Dnieper Ukraine made them a mobilized community which had a special influence on the development of the revolutionary process in the region after the overthrow of the autocratic regime. A positive attitude to Ukrainian national movement prevailed in social and political representation of the Poles in the Nad-Dnieper Ukraine.
