Essay

In the dissertation we made a comprehensive analysis of students' aesthetic education in the system of education in Western Ukraine (the second half of the 19-th - the beginning of the 20-th century); showed the genesis of the concept of "aesthetic education" in foreign and Ukrainian educational thought; determined and grounded the periods and approaches to defining the essence and content of the concept of students' "aesthetic education" in the works by Western Ukrainian pedagogues within the indicated limits (1869 - 1900, 1900 - 1919, 1919 - 1939).
