The thesis provides detailed analysis of E. Zharskyj's pedagogical heritage in the relationship and consistent retrospect of Galician (Lviv - to 1944) and emigration (Slovakia, Germany - to 1950, USA - to 2003) periods of his life. The socio-cultural conditions of the formation of E. Zharskyj's outlook and pedagogical ideas are shown. The main directions and the content of activities of the famous scholar-pedagogue are established and characterized. These are scientific-educational, scientific-natural, educational organizational, sports and physical culture.
