Essay

In this dissertation was accomplished the complex historical and pedagogical analysis research as to development of geographical constituent in the content of domestic primary education in the first part of XX century. The content of educational plans, programs, and textbooks, educational and methodical manuals of geographical and natural history for primary chain of education in 1900-1948 was analyzed as well pedagogical history works. The four periods were outlined in developing of the geographical constituent of domestic primary education content in the first part of XX century: I period (1900-1917) - developing of the geographical content in primary education on Ukrainian lands in the conditions of struggling for creation of national school; II period (1917-1920) - building of the geographical constituent in the content of domestic primary education in Ukraine in the conditions of establishing of the national system of education; III period (1919-1931) - developing of the geographical content of primary education in Ukrainian Socialistic Soviet Republic under conditions of school educational experiments and innovations; IV period (1931-1948) - reformation of the geographical constituent in the content of primary education in Ukrainian Soviet Socialistic Republic under conditions of establishing of Soviet school. The factors which had influence on geographical content of primary education were pointed out in each outlined period. The directions of applying of the positive aspects of the geographical constituent development in the content of the national primary education in the first half of the twentieth century for the modern reform of primary-level education were determined.
