Agapov Y. Becoming and Development of Private Education in Volyn (the second half of the 19th - the beginning of the 20th century)

In the thesis the set of positions that constitute the theoretical objectives of the domestic private education history research is grounded; the condition of a problem development is defined. Based on the analysis of archival sources, historical and pedagogical literature the impact of socio-cultural, historical and legal factors on the process of formation and development of private education in Volyn in the investigated period is outlined. The main tendencies in development of the private education in the region are grounded; the role of government and individuals in formation of private schools network in Volyn is characterized. The typology of private educational institutions is investigated; the specific character of their activity organization in the region is revealed. The content, forms, methods and means of private training and education in the region are determined.
