Essay

The author argues that as a philosophical and ideological foundations of religious education research is philosophy of education act, which is the most balanced position between theoretical research confessional religious education and inherited from the Soviet atheism religion research position. Reveals the institutional foundations of religious education as a specific kind of education which is based largely on the authority of the church, not science, although the vast majority of the content of religious education institutional framework consistent with relevant principles of other kinds of education - public, political, economic, moral, legal and more. In post-secular society that's different political religiosity and support for multiculturalism policy, the church and religion serve as strengthening the effectiveness of the educational, moral, social and political, problems. The prospects of institutional support religious education in the modernization of modern education in Ukraine, as dependent primarily on the development potential of existing religious institutions of higher education (most of which are presently in the structure of the Orthodox Church), and the development of religious education in the secular universities. Religious education has a tendency to become a mandatory part of basic humanitarian education in all higher educational institutions of higher education in Ukraine.
