Essay

The dissertation is a complex study of the history of handicraft guild on the territory of Northern Left Bank Ukraine is accomplished. The legislative base of guild system, the rights and duties of handicraft guild members are described in the dissertation. The territorial and branch structure of handicraft guild manufacture is cleared out and the main centers of handicraft development on the territory of Chernihiv-Sivershchyna are determined. The internal structure of guilds was disclosed and the ground of conflict situation both within guilds and with the cossack leaders and officials of magistrates was determined.
