Sokolovska I. Charity care system in the development of children and adolescents in Slobozhanschyna in the second half of XIX - early XX century

The object of study: humanitarian activity in Slobozhanschyna in the second half of XIX - early XX centuries. Objective: to investigate the content, forms and methods of charity by public and private philanthropists in the making of custody of children in Slobozhanschyna. Methods: A versatile general scientific (analytical, synthetic, logical), the special historical (problem-chronological, historical and analytical, synchronous, diachrony, structural and systemic), methods of related disciplines (statistical, methods of social psychology). Scientific novelty: it is the first comprehensive study of charity in the process of becoming a system of child care in Slobozhanschyna in the second half of XIX - early XX centuries, in particular, the author for the first time has analysed the basic forms and rendering assistance directions to various categories of needing children; it was revealed the level of interaction between state, public and private assistance to children, we have proved the importance of their interaction. Practical significance: the scientific principles, the mentioned facts and results of research can be used in the preparation of scientific papers, the educational literature, programs and specialized courses on local history and the history of Ukraine. Scope of use: higher educational institutions.
