Essay

In the experiment it was established that the lymphoid structures of thyroid gland of intact white male rats of ante reproductive, reproductive and post reproductive age were presented by diffuse lymphoid tissue. The maximum amount of lymphoid cells, especially plasma cells, was observed in the thyroid gland of reproductive age male rats, and the least amount of them, especially small lymphocytes, ? in post reproductive age male rats. Antigen stimulation of organism by induced regular phase changes in the density of immunocompetent cells in lymphoid formations of thyroid gland with the maximum of 7 days duration in all age groups of animals. The relative areas of structural components of nodi lymphoidei cervicales profundi which are regional for thyroid gland and the density (quantity) of cellular elements in these structures were studied during the postnatal ontogenesis. After the antigen stimulation of rats the regular periodical changes of relative areas and cell elements density of all structural components (lymphoid nodules, paracortical layer, medullar cords and intermediate medullar lymphatic sinuses) of nodi lymphoidei cervicales profundi arose with the maximum of 3-7 days. Simultaneously the density of immunocompetent cells (small, medium-sized and large lymphocytes, plasma cells and macrophages) in structural components of nodi lymphoidei cervicales profundi changed periodically in all age groups of animals. Age differences of these structural changes were identified.
