Panchenko V. Public-political and scientific activity of I.P. Bilokonskij (1855-1931)

The object of the research: the person of I.P. Bilokonskij, his life and activity. The dissertation purpose: on the basis of the analysis of the special literature and sources to reconstruct life and activity of I.P. Bilokonskij, to find out his role and place in public-political processes of Ukraine in second half of ХІХ - in the beginning of ХХ century, to give the characteristic of his cultural-educational activity, to study a publicistic and scientific heritage. Methods: analytical, synthetic, logic; typological, synchronous, problem-chronological, diachronous, comparative-historical, structural-system, method of historical modeling; statistical and method of social psychology. Scientific novelty: for the first time on the basis of the analysis of a wide circle of the documents and materials the life and activity of I.P. Bilokonskij, his contribution to public-political and liberal movement of second half of ХІХ - beginning of ХХ century is shown; the poorly known documents of a personal origin are entered into a scientific revolution, that enables to investigate complexly him populistic, zemstvo’s, scientific, educational and publicistic activity; the bibliography of works of object of research is complemented. Practical value: the basic ideas of the dissertation, generalized facts, supervision and conclusions can be used during a spelling courses, bachelors and masters works, scientific works, lecture courses on a history of Ukraine, on a history and theory of public-political and educational movements and organizations. Sphere of use: higher educational institutions.
